9. Mobile App Permissions

The Groomit mobile app may request access to:

  • Location: to show nearby groomers or confirm service addresses.

Permissions can be managed or revoked anytime in your device settings.

10. Children’s Privacy

Groomit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact us to delete it.

Groomit stores and processes data in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your data under U.S. law.

It applies to all users of the Groomit platform, including customers, groomers, and other independent service providers (collectively, “Users”). Our goal is to ensure that Groomit remains a safe, fair, and lawful marketplace for everyone who uses it — whether to book services or to offer them as an independent professional.

1. Professional Independence

All groomers and service providers using Groomit operate as independent contractors. Groomit does not employ, supervise, or control groomers and does not determine pricing, schedules, or work methods. Each groomer is solely responsible for their own conduct, services, and business operations.

2. Prohibited Conduct

Users (including groomers and customers) may not engage in the following activities while using Groomit’s website, app, or services:

  • Unlawful or fraudulent activity, including theft, fraud, or impersonation.

  • Spam or unsolicited communication — sending or encouraging unsolicited messages, marketing texts, or promotions without consent.

  • Harassment or abuse — threatening, defaming, or intimidating other users, groomers, employees, or support staff.

  • Discrimination or hate speech — any conduct that discriminates based on race, religion, gender, orientation, disability, or any protected status.

  • Posting or sharing misleading, obscene, or copyrighted content without permission.

  • Data misuse — collecting or using another user’s or groomer’s personal information outside the Groomit platform.

  • Fake accounts, reviews, or bookings — creating false identities or manipulating feedback or ratings.

  • Security interference — attempting to hack, reverse-engineer, or access restricted areas of the platform.

  • Payment circumvention — arranging or performing off-platform transactions to avoid Groomit’s systems or fees.

3. Groomer Responsibilities

Groomers using Groomit agree to:

  • Maintain valid professional licenses or permits where required.

  • Provide accurate availability, pricing, and service information.

  • Conduct themselves professionally during all customer interactions.

  • Keep customer data confidential and use it only for fulfilling booked services.

  • Follow safety, hygiene, and animal welfare standards.

  • Avoid representing themselves as Groomit employees or agents.

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when booking appointments.

  • Treat groomers respectfully and ensure pets are safe, healthy, and prepared for grooming.

  • Avoid abusive or discriminatory behavior toward any groomer or staff.

  • Not solicit groomers to perform off-platform or cash transactions.

5. Enforcement and Remedies

Violations of this Policy may result in:

  • Warning, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.

  • Removal of offending content or listings.

  • Legal or regulatory reporting when required.

Groomit reserves the right to investigate and take any action necessary to protect its platform, users, and reputation. No refunds or credits are owed for interruptions caused by enforcement actions.
